play with construction

Construction is the creation or building of a three-dimensional shape in physical space. Play is engaging in an activity for enjoyment and recreation rather than a serious or practical purpose.

This collection dances between construction and play. Children at play do not think about the rules, they build with toys as their imagination sees fit. This collection draws on this freedom and applies it to the cut. Sleeves, collars, pockets and the yoke do not have a set 'place'. Established rules and order of structure do not apply, collars as sleeves and pockets forming the pleat are not out of place.

Made of natural fibres including cotton and linen these specially treated fabrics create clear, geometric silhouettes and shapes. The use of crispy white allows the wearer to fill the blank space as on a piece of sketching paper.
